Spencer Callicott
Biography
Spencer Callicott is one of Mississippi State's
Presidential Endowed Scholars, mentored by Dr. Thomas
Anderson, and a member of the Shackhouls Honors College.
Spencer’s affiliation with the High Performance Computing
Collaboratory (HPC2) and Distributed Analytics and
Security Institute at Mississippi State University was
first acquired in 2014 through QUEST, a summer engineering
program offered by the Bagley College of Engineering. His
past research has included High Performance Graph
Analytics and the application of Machine Learning based
Topic Modelling under Dr. Nitin Sukhija as well as a study
on network security at Lawrence Berkeley National labs as
a Sustainable Pathways Fellow during the summer of 2016.
He currently works under Dr. Stefano Ianucci on creating a
Big-data benchmark for High performance cybersecurity
systems.
He is the son of Steve and Andrea Callicott of Bryant, Arkansas.
