Jiri Dokulil
Biography
Jiri Dokulil was awarded his master and Ph.D. degrees at
the Charles University in Prague, working on database
systems. In 2012, he joined the Research Group Scientific
Computing at the University of Vienna, focusing his
research on parallel computing, developing new programming
models for the Intel Xeon Phi coprocessor. As part of this
work, he experimented with the Open Community Runtime
(OCR), which then became the main focus of his research.
Jiri developed an independent implementation of the OCR
called OCR-Vx. He now works on OCR task scheduling and
explores possibilities of applying the OCR model to new
application areas.
