Mark Fernandez
Biography
Dr. Mark Fernandez has 20+ years of experience in
creating, configuring, and assisting with multiple types
of technical, scientific and high performance computing
(HPC) solutions. His current position with SGI/HPE is
Americas HPC Technology Officer. Specifically, he is the
Spaceborne Computer Payload Developer (PD) for software
and the project’s Co-Investigator. Dr. Fernandez and the
SGI/HPE Team created the Spaceborne Computer experiment to
study the practicality of running and managing a COTS high
performance computer (HPC) system in orbit aboard the
International Space Station (ISS).
