Peter Z. Harrington
Biography
Peter is a student at University of California Santa Cruz
studying astrophysics and computer science. While most of
his research career has been spent focusing on
astrophysical phenomena, he recently spent time
researching HPC Parallel I/O with the Scientific Data
Management Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
The results from that project are the subject of his
poster submission to the SC17 Student Research
Competition. After graduating in Fall 2017, he will
immediately start a Master's program at UCSC in Scientific
Computing and Applied Mathematics in order to study the
application of HPC techniques to difficult scientific
problems.
