Yasuhiro Idomura is a General Manager of the Computational Science Research and Development Office at the Center for Computational Science and e-Systems in JAEA. He received his Ph.D degree from Kyoto University in 2000. He studied fusion plasma turbulence simulations in the Plasma Theory Laboratory, Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI), during 2000-2005, and in the Plasma Theory and Simulation Group, JAEA during 2005-2012. His research interests include fusion science, plasma physics, computational fluid dynamics, and related high performance computing and visualization.
