Abhishek Kumar is currently a senior at the Wheatley School, a small high school located in Old Westbury, New York. Over the course of the 2017 summer, Abhishek conducted research at Brookhaven National Labs, under the High School Research Program. His research had dealt with the parallelization of neural networks on a GPU. However, he has exhibited great interests in STEM and research before then. He had been partaking in research at his high school since 9th grade and began conducting math research since 10th grade. Abhishek has shown great interests in STEM, as well. He has been head code for his school’s robotics team since 10th grade and is the president of his school’s technology club. He has excelled in all of this computer science and mathematics classes thus far and plans on pursuing computer science in college.
