Kartik Lakhotia is a second year PhD student in the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Southern California. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where he worked on ECG signal processing on FPGAs with Prof. Madhav Desai. Prior to his arrival at USC, he worked at Samsung Research Institute Bangalore, primarily focusing on accelerators for Computer Vision and Mobile Imaging. At USC, he is advised by Prof. Viktor Prasanna and Prof. Rajgopal Kannan, and the emphasis of his research is on parallel computing and high-performance graph analytics.
