Biography
Yan Li is a computer scientist and the founder of
TuneUp.ai, which provides affordable machine
learning-based automated performance tuning services for
systems of all sizes. He advocates broader adoptions of
machine learning in computer systems research and has
invented numerous automated tuning methods. He received
the PhD degree in Computer Science from University of
California, Santa Cruz in 2017. His advisor was Professor
Darrell Long. He loves gardening and lives in California
with his wife.
