Biography
Weifeng Liu is a Marie Curie Fellow at the Department of
Computer Science of the Norwegian University of Science
and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. He received his PhD
in 2016 from the Niels Bohr Institute of the University of
Copenhagen. He has been shortly working as a Research
Associate at the STFC Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in
2016. He also has been working as a Senior Researcher in
high performance computing technology at the SINOPEC
Exploration and Production Research Institute for about
six years. His research interests include numerical linear
algebra and parallel computing, particularly in designing
parallel and scalable algorithms and data structures for
sparse matrix computations on throughput-oriented
architectures. His algorithms run on a variety of manycore
devices and single-chip CPU-GPU heterogeneous processors.
