Tze Meng Low
Biography
Tze Meng Low is an Assistant Research Professor with the
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at
Carnegie Mellon University. He graduated from the
University of Texas at Austin with a M.S.(C.S) in 2005,
and a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2013. His research
focuses on the systematic derivation and implementation of
high performance algorithms through the use of formal
methods and analytical models. His current interest is the
extension and application of models and insights from high
performance dense linear algebra to other domains such as
bioinformatics, FFTs, machine learning and graph
algorithms. In addition, he is also interested in using
the same analytical models to design high performance
Field Programmable Gate-Array (FPGA)-based accelerators.
