Dr. Ye Luo serves as an assistant scientific applications engineer at Argonne leadership computing facility, specializing in computational physics including ab initio electronic structure and molecular dynamics methods for studying materials at zero and finite temperature. Since becoming an active developer of QMCPACK in spring 2015, he has been contributing new methods, algorithms and a lot of optimization to QMCPACK with his expertise in high performance computing on modern CPUs and GPUs. He earned a PhD in theory and numerical simulation of condensed matter from SISSA, Italy and holds a BS in Physics from Fudan university, China.
