Michael Lysaght
Biography
Michael is technical manager at the Irish Centre for High
End Computing, where he leads several HPC R&D projects
across the centre and has a focus on supporting the Irish
scientific user community and Irish industry in the
exploitation of emerging HPC technologies, including
many-core platforms such as GPGPU, Intel Xeon Phi and
FPGAs. Michael leads the Intel Parallel Computing Center
at ICHEC since 2013 and is currently president of the
Intel Xeon Phi User Group (IXPUG). He received his PhD in
atomic physics in 2006 from University College Dublin and
has published over 32 peer-reviewed articles across
physics and HPC research areas.
