Stephen Olivier
Biography
Stephen Olivier is a Principal R&D staff member and the
technical lead for run time systems R&D in the Center for
Computing Research at Sandia National Laboratories. His
work in the area of power-aware HPC has included leading
the SC14 and SC15 Power API BoFs, collaboration with Cray
on power NRE for the Trinity system, and publications in
IPDPS, HP-PAC, and E2SC. His other projects include the
Qthreads multithreading library and the task parallel API
extensions to the Kokkos performance portability library.
He represents Sandia on the OpenMP Architecture Review
Board and Language Committee, where he serves as chair of
the Tasking Subcommittee. Stephen received his B.S. in
Computer Science and Engineering from the University of
Texas at Arlington and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer
Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel
Hill.
