Stephanie Wollherr
Biography
Stephanie Wollherr has a degree in Mathematics from the
Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) where she
graduated in 2013 specializing in numerical methods for
wave propagation problems. She started her PhD at the
Geophysics department of LMU Munich in 2014 developing the
software package SeisSol to model realistic earthquake
scenarios.
During her PhD she incorporated plastic deformation into SeisSol and is currently investigating the effects of different material behavior on the rupture process and seismic wave propagation in complex fault geometries.
